Image Gallery

This section shows a selection of visuals that are a part of African American Communities. The image gallery is divided into two sections; the main Image Gallery and a 360 Object Gallery. You can initiate a search from the Image Gallery landing page and filter documents by date.

The Image Gallery is split out into thematic areas such as ‘Business and Industry’ and 'Education and Training’. Users can choose whether to search the gallery by theme or can instead select ‘View All’.

The 360 Object Gallery contains a collection of images which can be viewed through a 360 degree rotation viewer.

You can search within these galleries using the search bar at the top right hand side or filter the main Image Gallery by theme, document type or library using the dropdowns. From here you can view the full-size images and related metadata by clicking on the thumbnail. Select the image(s) using the tick boxes in order to download images as PDFs, run a slideshow or create your own bespoke collection of images by adding the selection to your lightbox. These functions can be found in the 'Image Options' dropdown.
