Additional Information | Harriet Etta Lane recalls memories of growing up in Brooklyn. She attended kindergarten at a Saturday school from 9 to noon, 'in a small wooden [colored] church on Dean Street between Schenectady and Troy Avenues.' She also has distinct memories of the evolution of modes of transportation, ranging from 'horse cars on Fulton Street with four wheels. Two in the front and two in the back.' |
