Description Ruby Dee (1922-2014) was an African-American actress, poet, playwright and activist. In this interview Dee discusses the involvement of African-Americans in both the theatre and film industries. She also discusses her own work and career, including the film 'A Raisin in the Sun' (1961), in which she co-starred alongside Sidney Poitier.
